Glossary (alphabetically):
Carnassials
| Sharp teeth in the back of a cat's jaw used to cut up prey.

Carnivore
| Those that eat only animals
|
Courtship
| A series of actions or behaviours that prepare animals for mating. This includes hunting together.
|
Home Range
| An area in which one animal hunts and lives alone.
|
Kittens
| The name used for baby lynxes and other small cats.
|
Niche
| All the ways in which an organism interacts with its biotic and abiotic environment. This includes the organism's role in the habitat.
|
Predator
| Hunts and kills the food
|
Prey
| What is hunted and captured by predator.
|
Secondary Consumer
| It feeds at the third trophic level and eats the primary consumer (herbivore). The trophic level tells how directly a consumer interacts with the producers of its ecosystem.
|
Top Consumer/Carnivore
| Animals not hunted for food by any other animal in the ecosystem (this does not include humans)
